DESCRIPTION:13th Annual Gary Hoffman Memorial Pit-Tag Challenge Outing\nThe
  Capital City Muskies Inc Chapter is again hosting a "Gary Hoffman Pit-Tag
  Challenge" outing on Saturday September 26th  2026. This ONE-day event p
 urpose is to catch pit-tagged muskies in Lake Monona. The catch informatio
 n will be used to further enhance the Leech Lake vs Wisconsin strain muski
 e size study that has been ongoing since 2005. This outing is open to all 
  including anglers from other muskie fishing clubs. Membership in CCMI is
  N0T required. Come and join us for this important and fun activity.\n\nDa
 te:  Saturday September 26\, 2026\nPlace:  Olbrich Park at the Starweath
 er Creek launch\n(Near the softball diamond)\nTime:  7:00am - 3:00pm\n\n\
 nClick here to Register\n Outing Rules\n\n 	Must comply with all WDNR reg
 ulations\n 	Catch and release only and no transporting of fish\n 	Particip
 ants MUST receive outing and fish reporting information starting at 6:30 a
 m in the Olbrich Park Softball Diamond lot.\n 	Casting\, trolling\, and li
 ve bait are acceptable forms of fishing\n 	Lake Monona is the only eligibl
 e lake\n 	All muskies caught REGARDLESS OF SIZE must be scanned for pit-ta
 gs to\n 	be prize eligible (boats with scanners will be on the water).\n 	
 Measurement of muskies on a bump board is required\n 	A witness and a phot
 ograph of the fish is required for all entries\n 	In case of a tie\, the e
 arliest muskie caught will be the tie breaker\n\nParticipants must complet
 e and submit a "release of liability" form IF one has not been completed i
 n 2026 for other Outings. The form is available on the CCMI website.\n Lu
 nch &amp\; Awards\nPizza from Glass Nickel will be provided around 4pm at 
 Olbrich park softball diamond area with awards and door prizes afterwards.
  Awards will be presented for Longest\, Second longest\, and Third longest
  muskie caught by length in inches.  In addition\, a “Pit Tag Champion 
 Award” will be presented to the Angler catching the longest Pit Tagged M
 uskie REGARDLESS OF SIZE.\n\n*Suggest bringing a folding lawn chair as sea
